In a major milestone for youth empowerment, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has announced that its flagship platform, Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), has crossed two crore registrations. This marks a significant achievement in mobilising young Indians toward the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
Launched on October 31, 2023, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, MY Bharat is a technology-driven one-stop platform designed for citizens aged 15 to 29 years. It provides access to volunteering, learning, and leadership opportunities, enabling youth to channel their potential toward nation-building.
Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, hailed the milestone as a “proud moment” that reflects the energy and determination of India’s youth. Meanwhile, Ms. Raksha Nikhil Khadse, Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports, emphasized that MY Bharat is helping young Indians transform aspiration into action.
Since its inception, MY Bharat has rapidly evolved into one of India’s largest youth-centric ecosystems, seamlessly integrating digital tools with on-ground programmes. Flagship initiatives such as Volunteer for Bharat and the Experiential Learning Programme have strengthened leadership, employability, and civic engagement among young people.
The platform also continues to enhance user experience through innovative features like Public Profile, CV Builder, and Quiz & Essay Modules, making engagement more interactive and impactful. To date, MY Bharat has facilitated over 14.5 lakh volunteering opportunities, working in collaboration with 16,000 youth clubs and 60,000 educational institutions across the nation.
By connecting rural and urban youth through structured, purpose-driven programmes, MY Bharat is nurturing a generation of socially responsible and skilled individuals — driving India closer to its goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
